2002, 14 (05): 332- |
Published: 24 September 2002
Abstract
Based on the recent work of the authors' group, the new development of chiral recognitions of biomolecules using affinity capillary electrophoresis is reviewed. The significances, principles and some applications of chiral affinity capillary electrophoresis are presented briefly. The systems have four categories according to the kind of receptors: protein, antibiotics, carbohydrate and nucleic acid. The development potential and prospect of this field are expected.
Kinetics of Reactions of Blocked Isocyanates
Zhang XueTong,Luo Yunjun*,Tan Huimin,Shen Jianbo
2002, 14 (05): 339- |
Published: 24 September 2002
Abstract
Blocked isocyanates are widely used in many kinds of one-package coatings, powder coatings and adhesives. They have also been used in water-borne polyurethane. The kinetics and mechanism of the reactions of blocked isocyanates are reviewed and two urethane forming reaction mechanisms by which a blocked isocyanate can react with a nucleophile are provided. Furthermore, effects of isocyanate structure, reaction medium, catalyst and functionality on kinetics of blocked isocyanate are discussed in detail.

Published: 24 September 2002
Abstract
The synthesis and applications in catalytic asymmetric synthesis of C2-symmetric chiral bis (oxazoline) and its metal complexes are reviewed in this article.
Progress in Tyrosine Kinase Inhibitor
Peng Tao,Zhou Jiaju
2002, 14 (05): 355- |
Published: 24 September 2002
Abstract
Protein tyrosine kinases play an important role in signal transduction pathways in regulating a number of cellular functions. Tyrosine kinases are attractive as targets in the research of therapeutic agents, not only against cancer, but also against many other diseases. The progress in tyrosine kinase inhibitor has been reviewed, including the chemical structures and the pharmacophore models.
Carbon Monoxide Low-temperature Oxidation over Nanosize Gold Catalyst
Wang Donghui1,2,Cheng Daiyun1,Hao Zhengping2*,Shi Xicheng1
2002, 14 (05): 360- |
Published: 24 September 2002
Abstract
Gold has long been known as being catalytically inactive. However, more interest and attention have been concentrated on the research and development of gold catalysts in recent years. Gold catalysts have been shown good catalytic performances, especially for CO oxidation, and can be used to eliminate CO even below ambient temperature. Compared with other catalysts for CO oxidation, the nanosize gold catalysts have superior catalytic behaviors, such as high catalytic activity, high catalytic stability and high resistance to moisture, and show a continuously increasing and more extensive application prospects. In this review, the preparation factors such as preparation method, support, particle size, pretreatment condition were summarized. The activation and reaction mechanisms were discussed.
Dimethyl Carbonate Synthesis from Carbon Dioxide and Methanol
Li Hansheng,Zhong Shunhe*
2002, 14 (05): 368- |
Published: 24 September 2002
Abstract
In this paper, progress in the synthesis of dimethyl carbonate (DMC) with carbon dioxide and methanol as raw materials was reviewed. It was proposed that DMC synthesis from carbon dioxide, especially from carbon dioxide and methanol, has much significance in the fields of synthetic chemistry, utilization of carbon resources and environmental protection. It provides potential applications for DMC production.

Zhao Feng,Qian Xinming,Wang Erkang,Dong Shaojun**
2002, 14 (05): 374- |
Published: 24 September 2002
Abstract
The history of solid state electrolyte, the categories, ion transport mechanism, characterization, and the methods to raise the ionic conductivities of polymer electrolytes are reviewed. The further required attentions in the development of polymer electrolytes are discussed in the final part of the review.

Li Zhen,Xia Chungu**
2002, 14 (05): 384- |
Published: 24 September 2002
Abstract
New researches on mechanism of alkene epoxidation by iron porphyrins and managese porphyrins in recent years are presented in this paper. Immobilization of metalloporphyrins over inorganic supporter has many advantages such as prevention of intermolecular reaction and easy recovery of the catalysts. This accelerates the development of studies on metalloporphyrins applications.
