Behaviors of PCBs in Environment
Bi Xinhui,Xu Xiaobai**
2000, 12 (02): 152- |
Published: 24 May 2000
Abstract
The behaviors of PCBs in the environment were reviewed with respect to the present pollution status, analytical methods, transport and transfer, multimedia model and risk assessment. The further research on environmental behaviors, the fate of PCBs and enhancing risk assessment in order to decrease the influence of PCBs to ecosystem is needed.
The Significance and Development Trend in Research of Plant Polyphenols
Song Lijiang,Di Ying,Shi Bi**
2000, 12 (02): 161- |
Published: 24 May 2000
Abstract

Plant polyphenols (vegetable tannins),as one of the important natural products, widely exist in plant. They have been used in many traditional industries, such as leather making, oil drilling and wood adhesive for years. With the development of chemistry of plant polyphenols in recent thirty years, their chemical structures and properties are comprehensively revealed. P rogress and sign if icance of this research field have been summarized by analysis of the related literature abstracted in CA since 1967.Furthermore, the trends of development and key points for better utilization of plant polyphenols are discussed in detail.

Renewed Interests in Difluoramino and Its Compounds
Feng Zengguo
2000, 12 (02): 171- |
Published: 24 May 2000
Abstract
Difluoramino is one of the most ideal groups in enhancing the energy density of energetic compounds. After many years of silence, research and development of the difluoramino group and its derivatives become active again. The substantial progress has been made in finding the new difluoramino compounds with low mechanical sensitivity and high thermostability. The main research now is focused on the polymerization of difluoramino substituted oxetane monomers, the preparation of neopentyl difluoramino nitrato plasticizers, and the molecular design and synthesis of cyclic N2 nitramino geminal difluoramino oxidizers.
The Application of Wavelet in Chemistry
Gao Zhiming,Li Jinghui,Gao Lirang,Zhu Xiuhui
2000, 12 (02): 179- |
Published: 24 May 2000
Abstract
Wavelet has shown great applicability in many fields of science. This paper reviews the applications of wavelets and wavelet transforms in chemistry, such as signal compression and denoising, image processing, data set compression, the modeling of multivariate sets, process control, fault diagnosis, prediction, dynamic and fractals.153 references are listed. Special at tention is given to the application prospects of wavelet in chemomet rics.

2000, 12 (02): 192- |
Published: 24 May 2000
Abstract
Sodium perborate as a safe, cheap , mild, versatile and environmentally friendly oxidant has been widely used in organic synthesis. This paper reviews its application in the selective oxidation of functional groups and the controlled oxidation of the same functional group.
Progress on CoMFA Research
Zhu Jie,Sheng Chunquan,Zhang Wannian
2000, 12 (02): 203- |
Published: 24 May 2000
Abstract
Comparative molecular field analysis (CoMFA ) is a relatively new 3D-QSAR method, which is used widely and successfully. But it has some defects in fitting rules, new fields, the selection of variables and data statistics. The recent improvements of the CoMFA method is reviewed in this paper, With these improvements, CoMFA will play a more important role in designing new drugs in future.
