Wavelet has shown great applicability in many fields of science. This paper reviews the applications of wavelets and wavelet transforms in chemistry, such as signal compression and denoising, image processing, data set compression, the modeling of multivariate sets, process control, fault diagnosis, prediction, dynamic and fractals.153 references are listed. Special at tention is given to the application prospects of wavelet in chemomet rics.
