Han Zhaohui,Zhao Huaqiao*
1999, 11 (01): 1- |
Published: 24 February 1999
Abstract

This paper describes the recent applied research progress of the heterogeneous photocatalysis on semiconductors. Representative photocatalysts and new photo reactors are introduced. The applications of photocatalysis on environmental protection, medical and health care, preparation of metallic catalysts, rare metal recovery and material synthesis are summarized and assessed. Moreover, the opinions on further studies are presented.

Zhang Zhaorong,Suo Jishuan,Zhang Xiaoming,Li Shuben*
1999, 11 (01): 11- |
Published: 24 February 1999
Abstract

The M41S, HMS, MSU , and SBA silica2based crystalline mesoporous molecular sieves are of great academic and practical importance in catalysis, absorptive separation technology, and materials science. Such materials may be prepared by involving the micellae of longchain quaternary ammoniumion, primary amine, geminal amine, or polyethylene oxide surfactants as templating species, and characterized by SEM , TEM ,XRD, N2 (Ar) adsorption desorption techniques, FT-IR,laser Raman, solid state MASNMR, UV-V is diffuse reflectance, XPS, EXA FS, and XAN ES spectroscopy. In this review , progress made in these aspects are summarized.

Recent Development in Catalytic Oxidation of Methane to Oxygenates
Yin Guochuan,Xi Zuwei,Cao Guoying
1999, 11 (01): 21- |
Published: 24 February 1999
Abstract

Emphasis is put on the recent development concerning the catalytic oxidation of methane to oxygenates by heterogeneous catalysis and liquid catalysis. For heterogeneous catalysis, the choice of catalysts, reaction temperature and pressure, oxygents, additives, reactors and reaction mechanism are summarized. Different research systems of liquid phase oxidation of methane are reviewed.

Mixed Conducting Oxygen Permeative Membranes and Their Applications in Partial Oxidation of Methane to Syngas Process
Shao Zongping,Xiong Guoxing*
1999, 11 (01): 30- |
Published: 24 February 1999
Abstract

The types and recent development of mixed conducting oxygen permeative membranes are introduced. The mechanism of oxygen permeation is given and the oxygen theoritical permeation equation is derivated. Their applications in POM and the requiremnet of materials are reviewed and the structure of reactors are proposed.

1999, 11 (01): 41- |
Published: 24 February 1999
Abstract

The recent research advances in artemisinin, the most effective weapons against malarial parasites have been reviewed. An overview is given on artemisin in research from the following aspects: the history of artemisinin development, sources of artemisin in, total synthesis of artemisin in, biosynthesis of artemisinin, analogs of artemisin in and artemisin in production from plant tissue cultures.

Steady State Isotopic Transient Kinetic Analysis
Li Chunyi,Shen Shikong**
1999, 11 (01): 49- |
Published: 24 February 1999
Abstract

Steady state iso topic transient kinetic analysis (SSITKA ) is a powerful technology to study heterogeneous catalytic reactions, by which the reaction mechanisms and other in situkinetic information, such as quantity, life, coverages of in term ediates, rate constant of elementary reaction, quantity and distribution of reactive sites can be obtained. In the present paper, the apparatus of SS ITKA , reactors, acquirement of kinetic parameters, inference of reaction mechanisms, and the combination of SS ITKA with insitu FTIR were summarized.

Sol-Gel Technology and Chemical Tailoring of Nano-Sized Materials
Sun Jihong,Zhang Ye,Fan Wenhao,Wu Dong,Sun Yuhan
1999, 11 (01): 80- |
Published: 24 February 1999
Abstract

The basic concept of solgel chemistry was briefly described by an instance from SiO2 nanosized materials. The research progress and problems in chemical tailoring and structure property control were discussed. It is pointed that the solgel technique has become a main method for syntheses of nano2sized materials via chemical tailoring.
