The artificial enzymes, which are prepared by cleavage reagents of nucleic acid conjugated to a synthet ic oligodeoxyribonucleotide, can selectively cleave DNA or RNA. It provides a new method of the molecular design of artifi?? cial nuclease. In this review the conjugation mode of metal complex with an oligodeoxyribonucleotide and the interaction mechanism of the artificial enzymes with the targets are described, and the research direction in future is pointed out .
