The special performance of hydrogen generation using plasmas from various feedstocks is discussed. For a large scale of hydrogen production from natural gas , plasma technology can eliminate the use of catalysts and shrink the reactor space , with its high input power density. For a small scale of hydrogen production fromother hydrocarbons , using plasma can increase the flexibility of the whole system , especially in the case of on2board hydrogen generation. A variety of plasma resources for the design of a plasma reformer will give many options to reduce the power consumption.
