Photoactivated insecticides have many advantages compared with traditional pesticides, such as cheap-ness, high activity and low toxicity. They have great potential in promoting the development of agriculture. The progress in the research of photoactivated insecticides is reviewed in this paper with 31 references, including their mechanisms, main classes and resistance.
