本文介绍了稀土金属及其合金的磁热效应。综述了磁热效应(MCE)的热力学理论、测量MCE的实验方法;稀二金属及其合金约MCE研究结果以及磁热材料在磁致冷器方面的应用。

The magnetocaloric effect (MCE) of rare earth metals and their alloys is introduced in the present paper. The discussion of thermodynamic theoiy of the magnetocaloric effect，the experimental methods of measuring the MCE，the reported results of MCE in some rare earth metals and their alloys and their applications in magnetic refrigerators are reviewed.
