[Objective/Significance] In order to systematically analyze the output situation of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) during the 12th and 13th Five-Year Plan periods, and reveal its output performance in international and domestic comparisons, in order to provide reference for the relevant output evaluation policies of the 14th Five-Year Plan in the future. [Method/Process] From a perspective of research output, based on Web of Science(WOS) papers, this paper uses bibliometric method to analyze the output performance of CAS in the dimensions of research volume, academic impact, highly cited papers, papers from important journals, collaboration papers, and authorship positions during the "12th Five Year Plan" and "13th Five Year Plan" periods, and selects Harvard University, German Max Planck Institute, Tsinghua University and Peking University as benchmarking agencies, in order to reveal the competitiveness of CAS in international and domestic comparisons. [Results/Conclusions] The research conclusions show that CAS has a strong scale advantage in the output of papers, but there is a certain gap between the academic impact, the output efficiency of highly cited papers and papers from important journal, the degree of international collaboration and the degree of industrial collaboration between CAS and the above leading benchmarking institutions; During the "13th Five Year Plan" period, compared with the "12th Five Year Plan" period, CAS has a rapid growth in the above dimensions, but the growth rate is lower than that of Tsinghua University, similar to that of Peking University, and higher than the two international benchmarking institutions. As for the distribution of research topics, CAS lays particular emphasis on relevant topics in the field of Physical Sciences and Engineering.
[Objective/Significance] The Russia-Ukraine conflict has accelerated the pace of global energy adjustment, and the development of hydrogen energy has become the consensus of all countries. China has also actively explored hydrogen technology routes, continued to promote the carbon peak and carbon neutrality development strategy by issuing multiple top-level hydrogen energy documents such as the "Medium and Long Term Plan for the Development of the Hydrogen Energy Industry (2021-2035)" and the "Guidelines for the Construction of the Hydrogen Energy Industry Standard System (2023 Edition)". [Method/Process] This papaer conducts a visual analysis of the overall publication trend, distribution of research subjects, funding status, research hotspots, and research topics of global hydrogen energy research literature from 2020 to 2022, using various bibliometric tools such as CiteSpace and VOSviewer, based on the statistics of scientific and technological literature in the hydrogen energy field in the Web of Science core collection database. [Results/Conclusions] The research results found that the global heat for hydrogen energy research has been continuously increasing in the past three years. Authoritative institutions in various countries or regions attach great importance to hydrogen energy research and development. The research focuses on hydrogen production, hydrogen storage, fuel cell, hydrogen evolution reaction and photocatalysis. China is located in the world's top tier in basic research, with a significantly higher number of international cooperative papers and highly cited papers compared to other countries.
