[Objective/Significance] It is of great significance to study the research performance of Chinese scholars in international scientometrics journals for understanding the development of the Chinese scientometrics research status. [Method/Process] 932 publications authored by Chinese researchers have been collected from the international Scientometrics journal, and the scientometrics mapping methods have been applied to analyze the outputs trend, collaboration characteristics, research hotspots, and intellectual base of the Chinese researchers’ performance. [Results/Conclusions] With more than 30 years of development, China became one of the most productive countries in the Scientometrics journal. The publications from China have a significant growth during 1984-2021. A large number of institutions and young researchers have stepped on the international scientometrics stage with the help of the previous generation in the scientometrics area. The research topics are focused on “performance of the research outputs” “knowledge map” and “technometrics”. The intellectual base of Chinese researchers is mainly from the high-impact papers of international scientometrics scholars, and these references are in 4 clusters, including “knowledge map” “S&T evaluation” “network science and collaboration” and “national S&T performance analysis”. To sum up, China has become a “big nation” in scientometrics research, and the next step is to move towards a “strong nation”.
[Objective/Significance] To grasp the research status in global satellite communication, and put forward some suggestions for the development of this field in China. [Method/Process] Based on the articles between 2013 and 2022, the output trend of SCI, countries distribution, research hotspots, cooperation network of innovation institutions and research fronts of satellite communication were analyzed. [Results/Conclusions] The results showed that the number of SCI publications in satellite communication has increased rapidly in the past five years. In terms of geographical distribution, China publishes a large number of articles, while papers from the Canada, UK and the US are leading in quality. Global research hotspots include low earth orbit satellite (LEO satellite) and its application, satellite navigation, antenna, satellite communication in millimeter wave, Ka band and Ku band, beamforming technology for satellite communication, application in machine learning and so on. In cooperation of innovation institutions, ten subgroups have been excavated centering around the institutions like Southeast University, Tsinghua University, Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications, and University of Electronic Science and Technology of China etc. Research fronts include space-air-ground integrated networks and its application, beamforming optimization, multibeam satellite industrial internet and so on.
[Objective/Significance] At present, China's scientific and technological strength is moving from quantitative accumulation to qualitative leap, and from point breakthrough to overall improvement of system ability. Strengthening the research on science and technology innovation system will play a practical guiding significance for China to realize self-reliance in high level science and technology. [Method/Process] By using text metrology analysis methods and visual analysis software such as Python, VOSviewer and CiteSpace, this paper analyzed the prolific authors and institutions, core literature, hot topics and trends in the field of science and technology innovation system research. [Results/Conclusions] (1) The number of publications presents a trend of steady increase, with a slight decline, and a continuous increase. (2) Research hotspots focus on three directions: basic theoretical research around the science and technology innovation system; research on the overall layout and effectiveness of science and technology innovation system at the national level, such as knowledge innovation system, technology innovation system, regional innovation system, etc; focus on the current situation, problems and countermeasures of the science and technology innovation system in a certain field, such as the agricultural science and technology innovation system, the military civilian integration science and technology innovation system, and the university science and technology innovation system. (3) Innovation-driven, collaborative innovation, high-quality development and artificial intelligence will be the main research hotspots of science and technology innovation system at present and in the future.
[Objective/Significance] Explore the transformation of research data services under the trend of intelligent scientific research, and clarify the potential research data needs in intelligent scientific research. [Method/Process] Under the theoretical guidance of the scientific research data lifecycle, a six stage scientific research data lifecycle operation process was constructed, including research preparation, data generation and collection, data processing and analysis, data publishing, data storage and sharing, and data reuse. The process of transforming data into knowledge in the field of materials and chemistry was analyzed and organized. [Results/Conclusions] Under the trend of intelligent scientific research, scientific research has put forward requirements for multi-source heterogeneous integration, fine-grained data structuring, human-machine interaction data representation, data association mining, and enriched scientific research data types. The overall development trend of scientific research data is showing an increase in data scale and complexity, an increasingly prominent demand for data association and fusion, and the importance of scientific research data sovereignty in the development of various countries, The future development of scientific research data services should strengthen the construction of high-quality field data networks, attach importance to the mining of experimental information in textual data, pay attention to the exploration of human-machine interaction language, deepen the embedded scientific research data service model, and enhance the knowledge and artificial intelligence literacy of librarians in the field.
[Objective/Significance] Cultural modernization is characterized by diversity, guidance, penetration and innovation, which makes it play an increasingly important role in the process of national modernization. Exploring the characteristics and general trend of world cultural modernization can better serve China's cultural modernization construction. [Method/Process] We define the connotation and characteristics of cultural modernization, analyze the general trend of cultural modernization in the core cultural fields, cultural facilities and cultural industries, and evaluate the level of Chinese cultural modernization based on the core indicators. [Results/Conclusions] (1) China has made great progress in the modernization construction in the field of culture, which is reflected in the three dimensions: cultural life, cultural competitiveness and cultural influence. The gap between China and the major developed countries is narrowing constantly, especially in the field of cultural industry, which has been growing at a fast pace since 2005. (2) There are many problems and challenges in China’s cultural modernization compared with the developed countries, such as promoting cultural consumption, improving the quality of cultural products, regulating the cultural market, improving the international environment, safeguarding national cultural security, and enhancing the international competitiveness and influence of Chinese culture.
