[Objective/Significance] Web 3.0, Society 5.0, and Metaverse are hotspots in the background of the new scientific and technological revolution. The systematic review and comparison of these topics are significant for related research in China. [Method/Process] 936 scientific publications have been collected from the Web of Science Core Collection, and the scientometrics methods and visualization techniques have been applied to the hot topics and intellectual base analysis. [Results/Conclusions] The research output of Web 3.0, Society 5.0, and Metaverse has shown a certain growth trend in the past two years, especially the Metaverse and Web 3.0 research. At the topic level, research of Web 3.0 is mainly focus on semantic web, social media and social network. Society 5.0 which appears in the background of industry 4.0, and has high relevance to industry 4.0 and new emerging technologies, aims to build an intelligent, sustainable and resilient society. As a new emerging hot term, Metaverse is still in its initial period. The researches on virtual world, second life, virtual reality, 3D and avatar have become the hotspots. The intellectual base is analyzed through the references co-citation analysis, and a list of important literatures have been identified in Web 3.0, Society 5.0, and Metaverse research.

[Objective/Significance] In order to comprehensively review the research on the evaluation index system of technological innovation ability of Chinese enterprises, [Method/Process] we take the relevant research literature in the past 20 years as a sample, and analyze the time of publication, publication institution, publication author, publication journal, evaluation principles, application objects, scientific funding, and indicator construction by using bibliometrics and topic model methods. [Results/Conclusions] The results show that the current related research evaluation ideas are relatively mature, the mainstream evaluation methods have emerged, and the main evaluation principles have reached a consensus. At present, there are some problems such as disconnection between the research on evaluation index system and the actual technological innovation of enterprises, insufficient refinement of index application objects, insufficient attention to index construction principles, and single evaluation method. We propose to strengthen the cooperation between colleges and sci-tech enterprises, adjust the evaluation dimension and evaluation content according to the size of the enterprise and the industry to which it belongs, increase the emphasis on the principle of index construction, and pay attention to the application of compound evaluation methods.

[Objective/Significance] As the foundation of national economic construction, metallurgy industry is also the symbol of national strength and industrial development level. With the increasingly fierce competition, patent technology has become the core competitiveness of the industry. This paper analyzes the patent situation in metallurgy field from the perspective of PCT international application, and provides reference for China's innovation and patent portfolio planning in this field. [Method/Process] PCT international applications in metallurgy field during the period of 2011 to 2020 are researched in this paper from aspects of number & trend of applications, research hotspot, applicants, number of claims, countries / regions of patent families to analyze the situation of intellectual property rights in metallurgy field and to find out China's advantages and disadvantages in international patent applications. [Results/Conclusions] The number of PCT international applications in metallurgy field shows an overall upward trend in the past decade. The number of applicants decreases significantly while the number of annual average applications of applicants increases significantly. Subclass C22C (alloys) attracts the highest innovation enthusiasm, and the research heat of Group C22C38 (iron base alloy) and Group C22C21 (aluminum base alloy) rank the first two. The main applicants are iron and steel metallurgy enterprises. Japanese enterprises perform well, and China BaoSteel Group enters the top ten. The number of claims and countries / regions patent families of the Chinese applicant's PCT international applications in the metallurgy field are lower than the global average.

[Objectives/Significance] By discussing the international and China’s research status and progress of urban modernization evaluation index systems and methods, as well as empirical evaluation research, this paper puts forward the enlightenment of international urban modernization experience on the development of Chinese urban modernization, in order to provide reference for relevant policy formulation. [Method/Process] On the basis of sorting out the characteristics, trends and historical experience of urban modernization in the world, this paper combines the development level and current situation of urban modernization in 10 international cities and 33 Chinese cities, and summarizes the mode and historical experience of each city's modernization, as well as the enlightenment on the development path of Chinese urban modernization. [Results/Conclusions] The conclusions of the study show that urban modernization is diverse, with different regions and eras leading to different urban modernization paths and models. On the basis of reaching a certain level of common or universal elements of the city and grasping the general trend of urban modernization, each city needs to condense its own urban characteristics and spirit to form a personalized urban modernization road suitable for itself. China should adhere to the Chinese-style urban modernization development path of new urbanization and urban-rural integration.
