[Objective/Significance] With the aggravation of global climate change and the acceleration of urbanization, the studies on cities and climate change have become the focus of global attention. [Method/Process] Based on SCIE and SSCI databases in the Web of Science Core Collection, this paper analyzes the international development trend of urban and climate change research using bibliometrics and topic mining methods. [Results/Conclusions] The research shows that the research on cities and climate change has attracted extensive attention from the academic community since 1991, and the number of papers published has increased year by year. China has the largest number of papers published in the past five years. Countries and institutions around the world cooperate closely, forming a relatively stable research cooperation network with a certain scale. The clustering results show that the research on cities and climate change mainly focuses on five research areas: urban climate adaptation, urbanization and its interaction with climate change, extreme weather, energy and greenhouse gas emissions, and impacts of climate change on urban residents' health.

[Objective/Significance] In order to study the international research status and progress in the field of black soil, and to promote further research and protection in the black soil field in China, this paper sorts out and analyzes the relevant literature in the black soil field from the core collection of Web of Science databases. [Methods/Progress] By using bibliometrics methods and knowledge graph visualization method, this paper summarizes the relevant research progress in the international black soil field respectively from the aspects of the annual publishing trend, publishing situation of major countries and major institutions, the situation of highly cited papers and the distribution of research topics. [Results/Conclusions] The conclusion shows that the number of papers published in the field of black soil in the world has been increasing exponentially in recent years. China is the country with the largest number of papers published in this field, followed by Russia and the United States. In terms of research impact, China, the United States and Canada are among the top three in terms of total citation frequency; Canadan, the United States and Australia are among the top three in terms of the average citation frequency. Scientific research institutions from China and Russia are the leading ones, with the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the Russian Academy of Sciences having the highest number of publications. Research hotspots mainly focus on the status of black soil loss, crop planting on black soil, black soil structure and heavy metal pollution, soil organic matter and soil microbial community and its diversity. Research priorities vary from country to country.

[Objective/Significance] An overall understand of the Engineering Journal is significant to understand the current status and make development strategies for the journal. [Method/Process] There are 980 publications from Engineering (2015-2021) were collected from Web of Science, and the scientometrics method is applied to the data analysis. The temporal outputs, geographic distribution, hot topics, high cited papers, and also the impact contribution were analysed. [Results/Conclusions] As a new comprehensive Engineering journal and the representative of building a world-class journal in China, Engineering has a good overall development trend. The number and influence of papers have shown a significant increasing trend. The geographical output is widely distributed, but the originate of the papers are too concentrated. The hot spots of the Engineering are in COVID-19, traditional Chinese medicine, additive manufacturing (3D printing, etc.), intelligent manufacturing and artificial intelligence (including machine learning and deep learning). The in-depth analysis of high impact papers and journal influence shows that the review articles play an important role in journals impact factor calculation. In order to further enhance the academic impact and vitality and build a world-class journal, Engineering needs to expand the diversity of manuscript origination and the engineering research topics, and also adjust the rationality of article types.
